Gold Mystery Snails ~ Pomacea bridgesii

Gold Mystery Snails also sold as Gold Inca Snails are popular peaceful invertebrates known for their brilliant yellow shell and active behavior. They are often kept as an efficient "clean up" Crew to manage algae and detritus in community tanks. 

• Behavior: Highly active and "playful," they are known for climbing to the top of the tank and "parasailing" (free-falling) back to the bottom.
• Diet: While they eat algae and biofilm, they should be supplemented with algae wafers, sinking pellets, and blanched vegetables like zucchini or kale.
• Calcium Needs: For a healthy, pit-free shell, provide extra calcium through calcium-rich foods, cuttlebone, or mineral additives.
• Safety Precautions: Avoid copper-based medications, which are toxic. Use a tight-fitting lid, as they may climb out of the water to explore or lay eggs.
