Electric Blue Molly ~ Poecilia Sphenops

Electric Blue Molly are prized for their shimmering, iridescent metallic blue scales that appear to glow under aquarium lighting.

These typically get to about 3 to 5 inches

They need absolutely need hard alkaline water, though not required but they are highly salt tolerant adding a small amout of aquarium salt (1tsp per gallon) can prevent disease and stress

These mollys are social and recommended to be kept in groups of 4 to 6, using a ratio of one male to 2 to 3 females to prevent the male harassing the female.

They are very peaceful and active community fish 

Diet: Omnivorous   They have a strong preference for plant matter; they spend much of their time grazing on algae and biofilm: supplement their diet with high quality flakes, algae wafers, and Blanched vegetables like spinach and zucchini
